Global Crossing Secures John Sutton as Executive Vice President and General Manager for Federal via Benchmark

Former SVP of ManTech International’s Cybersecurity Intelligence Business Lands New Role through Leading Executive Search Firm

Reston, VA Benchmark Executive Search announced today the placement of John Sutton as Executive Vice President and General Manager of a new Federal Sector customer-facing unit at Global Crossing (Nasdaq: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider with revenues in excess of $2.5B. The position reports to the CEO, John Legere, and reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting the federal market.

John Sutton was Senior Vice President of the Defense and Intelligence Business Unit in the Mission, Cyber and Technology Group at ManTech, Inc. As a strategic leader, general manager and metrics-driven executive, John has earned a strong reputation in the federal market.

Prior to his position at ManTech, Inc., Sutton was a Group Vice President at AT&T Government Solutions, where he was responsible for business operations and growth in Department of Defense and Intelligence markets. In this position he managed more than 600 employees, most with top-secret security clearances; delivered technology solutions in data management, training, systems engineering and modeling; and simulation of national and tactical systems, network systems design and operations at multiple levels of security.

Sutton earned a Masters in Business Administration from George Mason University School of Management and a Bachelors of Science in Marine Transportation at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He is a member of the National Intelligence Education Foundation Board and has served on the George Mason University School of Management Advisory Board and the Blue Canopy Advisory Board. He has received a Department of the Army Superior Performance Award and Department of the Navy AEGIS Excellence Award.
