Jon Hamblin

Principal

Jon Hamblin is Principal of Benchmark Executive Search responsible for driving search execution and client development. He is focused in the firm’s Federal Business Practice for technology and services (technology or non-technology) companies.

Jon brings to Benchmark successful experience and knowledge in procurement strategy and government contracting. Most recently, Jon served as an Account Manager with INPUT where he consistently won new business with technology, management consulting and services companies committed to the public sector marketplace. In Jon’s business development and client management role he provided information and insight to customers that improved the development, sales, and marketing of their products and services.

His experience in federal contracting began at SAIC where he served as a Defense Policy Analyst and Proposal Specialist. There, he supported the Defense Science Board on studies related to technology, research & development, intelligence, security, and acquisition. He also participated in numerous successful proposal efforts.

Jon has consistently demonstrated an ability to lead and deliver positive results. He has completed several workshops through Shipley Associates, has been a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), and participated in industry events through Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). Jon earned a B.A. in English from Virginia Tech.
